The new indoor swimming pool extends below ground level so the imposing size of the pool and the Spa Wellness swimming centre has no adverse environmental impact whatsoever on the magnificent landscape of the Dolomites. On the contrary, while those in the pool can gaze out at the beautiful scenery through glass walls, those outside see only the shimmering green of natural stone that lines the exterior walls of the pool. The same type of stone has been used in slabs and tiles to decorate other areas around the pool. The bottom of the pool is lined with gravel – a vigorous massage for the feet! The largest pool has a built-in hydro-massage area and the indoor pool is linked to an outside one that can be used all year round. A Kneipp walkway covered in stone surrounds the pool and divides the pool reserved for adults from the children’s pool. The surfaces around the pool are covered in a mixture of natural stone and wood. The colour of the walls changes gradually from hot yellow ochre to reddish purple as you approach the stairs to the exit. There are relaxation zones with stone seats on which you can recline. Here you can sit on heated seats carved into the rock and listen to the gentle murmur of running water at your feet. At the centre of the pool, there’s a huge open fire surrounded by large volcanic stone slabs on which it’s possible to sit and relax.
